Today marks another well-deserved victory for Dean, his second at the IDRC. Not only was he the top qualifier, but he managed to win True Street while getting himself blacklisted from AAA Dragway, all at the same time! Anything over 135mph requires a full race cage, which is out of the question for Dean since he daily drives it. So with a past run of 142mph(!) and various warnings, they were ready to pounce when this happened in qualifying today... 135.09...oops.
 Despite blacklisting they agreed to let him finish the event if he turned down the boost, which probably had something to do with him being top qualifier and a crowd-pleaser. Regardless, this was to be his last event at Fontana so he went out with a BANG. Today's event was also a "Supra Shootout" so it was only fitting that Dean went up against one in the finals, edging him out by nearly a full second. Great job bud and way to represent! Finals slip here. I couldn't grab many pics but here's Dean on the left posing with his winning plaque and Jeff (great Supra guy) that he beat on the right. 
And of course one with the Z. After today's shenanigans it looks like he'll have to break into the 9s at another track, but from the smile on his face I don't think he cares one bit...enjoy it Dr. D!
